Job summary

BEST Crowd Management is seeking an Event Staff & Security professional at Penn State University. In this role you will combine event staff duties with security tasks to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for attendees.

You should be adaptable with strong communication, customer service and teamwork. The position is part-time with pay at $14.50 per hour and may require evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Possess strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Able to work in a team and handle crowd management.
• Stand/walk for extended periods and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with event setup and equipment placement.
• Monitor access points and conduct security checks.
• Provide friendly customer service and directions to attendees.
• Collaborate with staff to maintain safety and order.
• Control entry/exit flow and respond to incidents per protocol.
• Enforce event rules and handle attendee concerns calmly.
