Job summary

BEST Crowd Management seeks an Event Staff & Security professional to join the Texas A&M University team. You will perform event staff duties alongside security tasks to ensure a safe, engaging experience for attendees and clients.

Candidates should have excellent communication, stay calm under pressure, and be willing to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends. Previous customer service and security awareness are valued.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old and eligible to work.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for attendee interactions.
• Strong observational and problem-solving abilities for security risk detection.
• Remain calm in high-pressure situations and handle difficult individuals.
• Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on events.
• Physical fitness to stand and perform duties for extended periods.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist with event setup and equipment/signage placement.
• Monitor access points and conduct security checks to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Provide friendly customer service and assist attendees with inquiries and directions.
• Collaborate with event staff and security to maintain safety and order.
• Assist in crowd management and control entry/exit flow for attendees.
• Respond promptly to security incidents following established protocols.
• Enforce event rules and safety procedures in event areas.
• Address attendee complaints calmly and professionally.
• Adhere to company policies and guidelines to deliver high standard service and security.
