Job summary

Allied Universal Event Services is hiring part-time Event Security Officers in Reno, NV to support major conventions, trade shows and events. You will monitor entry, perform bag searches, verify tickets and IDs, and provide superior guest service while ensuring safety at venues throughout Reno.

Position offers flexible part-time hours under 30 per week with weekly pay, paid orientation, and opportunities to grow into higher-profile summer events. NV PILB registration is required upon hire.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma, equivalent, or five years of work experience.
• Nevada PILB Security Guard Registration required upon hire.
• Background check and post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test; additional screening may be required.
• Must be able to work overtime and use good independent judgment and discretion.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of event day preparation and execution.
• Verify entry into venues, including tickets, wristbands and badges.
• Screen guests during entry via bag search, hand wand or metal detector, and ID verification.
• Protect guests, staff, and venue assets at checkpoints.
• Respond quickly to crowd control issues and escort unruly guests when needed.
• Provide directions and helpful information to enhance guests’ entertainment experience.
