Job summary

Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, IL seeks Maintenance Event Staff to support facility operations during NASCAR race weekends and other events. You will help maintain buildings and grounds, inspect plumbing/HVAC, and ensure safe, efficient operations on site.

The role requires a high school diploma (GED) and 2–5 years of related experience, with ability to operate mowing equipment, forklifts, skid loaders, backhoes, weld and carpentry tools. Some evenings/weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 2–5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combo.
• Ability to read safety rules and maintenance instructions; write routine reports.

Responsibilities

• Maintain/Enhance facility aesthetics and refurbish assets.
• Inspect plumbing, HVAC, interior and exterior areas and repair as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance to extend asset life and ensure safety.
• Provide emergency assistance for inoperative equipment.
• Coordinate with trade personnel (plumbers, electricians, carpenters).
• Assist with event operations and varying shifts as needed.
• Follow safety practices to maintain hazard-free workplace.
• Complete work orders for facility needs.
