Job summary

Advocate Health in Davidson, NC is seeking a part-time Behavioral Health Nursing/Support role for evenings on weekends. The position requires CPI proficiency, patient interaction, and participation in group activities within a skilled care setting.

Shifts are Saturdays and Sundays from 7pm to 7am, totaling 24 hours per week. Education requirements include a high school diploma, with a bachelor’s degree preferred. CPI and BLS training are mandatory within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• CPI certification required within 90 days of hire date.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Observe and document signs and symptoms or changes in patient behavior for the charge nurse.
• Interact therapeutically with patients.
• Assist and participate in social and recreational activities and group therapy.
• Use CPI techniques appropriately.
• Make rounds on assigned patients at least every half hour during shift.
• Demonstrate flexibility with workload changes.
• Respond to patients with empathy while maintaining dignity and confidentiality.
• Participate in unit-based process improvement activities and committees.
