Job summary

Advocate Health's Behavioral Health unit in Davidson is seeking a part-time Nursing Behavioral Health I/P: River Birch for night shifts. The 24-hour weekly schedule runs from 7pm to 7am and includes weekend and holiday rotation.

The role emphasizes patient observation, therapeutic interaction, and participation in group activities within a hospital setting. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for a bachelor's degree, relevant patient care experience, CPI

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Relevant patient care experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• CPI certification required within 90 days of hire date.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Observes, reports, and documents signs and symptoms or changes in patient behavior to charge nurse.
• Interacts with patients therapeutically.
• Assists in social and recreational activities and group therapy sessions.
• Uses CPI techniques appropriately.
• Makes rounds on assigned patients at least every half hour during shift.
• Responds to patients with empathy, maintaining dignity and confidentiality.
• Participates in unit-based process improvement activities and committees.
