Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• CPR certification or recertification within three months of hire is required.
• One year of clerical and patient work experience or extensive hospital setting knowledge.
• Preferred: prior office management or patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, confirm information, process paperwork, and prepare for exams.
• Verify physician orders and clinical information for scheduling accuracy.
• Digitize, print, and distribute reports, CDs, and images to relevant parties.
• Monitor patients in the department and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Coordinate work assignments for Orderlies, manage patient flow, and assist with transport.
• Train new staff and maintain departmental organization.
• Perform scheduling, locate reports, order supplies, and coordinate emergent procedures.
• Verify requisitions for coders and resolve discrepancies by contacting physician offices.
