Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service in Marion, IA is seeking a Part-Time Package Handler to load, unload, and sort freight accurately and in a timely manner for quick deliveries.

Hours are Monday through Friday with a 4:00 PM start, and pay ranges from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Efficient time management skills.
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read labels at a fast pace and work independently.
• At least 16 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload packages by hand from fleet vehicles
• Scan package barcode labels while unloading for tracking purposes
• Sort each package by zip code, city, or state
• Stack freight into trailers and routes in a manner to prevent damage and utilize space efficiently
• Wash fleet vehicles to maintain company image, as needed
• Perform light custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment
• Perform other duties as assigned
