Job summary

The Goodman Group, LLC is seeking a Custodian / Janitor Housekeeping Assistant in Sarasota, FL. This part-time role supports the housekeeping department and helps maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents.

Responsibilities include daily cleaning tasks, infection control practices, and coordinating with nursing staff. Lifting up to 50 pounds may be required; physical stamina and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Be able to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
• Deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, and staff.
• Capable of working with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset people.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
• Knowledge/proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily housekeeping tasks and follow safety and infection control procedures.
• Coordinate housekeeping services with nursing staff when cleaning resident areas.
• Maintain clean, safe, and attractive work areas and properly store equipment and supplies.
• Assist with lifting heavy objects and moving supplies as directed.
• Clean fixtures, floors, walls, windows, and bathrooms on a daily basis.
• Ensure cleaning supplies are stocked and stored according to procedures.
• Follow all policies and procedures and comply with regulatory standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
