Grandisland is seeking a part-time GED instructor to empower adults 16 years and older in reading, writing, math, and digital literacy. You will plan engaging lessons, tailor instruction to learner needs, and maintain accurate records. Classes meet Monday through Thursday evenings from 6:00 p.m.

Individual will help enrich the lives of students by planning, organizing and instructing adults 16 years and older in GED preparation, including reading, writing, math, and digital literacy. Classes are held Monday through Thursday from 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Individual will develop lesson plans and deliver instruction based on learner needs and state standards while maintaining accurate student records.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred with at least one year related experience. Individual must possess a working knowledge of reading, writing, and English grammar at the high school level. Previous teaching experience preferred but not required. We will provide paid training and professional development. Must be able to work as a team, have good interpersonal skills and be proficient with computers. Individual must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and a genuine interest in adult learners.
