Job summary

Victor Valley College in California is seeking a part-time accounting support staff member assigned to the Cashier's Office. The role involves clerical and accounting duties for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and student accounts, with hours Monday through Friday 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and occasional weekends.

Under supervision, you will maintain financial records, post transactions, reconcile ledgers, and assist with district deposits and reporting.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of related accounting experience.
• Equivalent education with accounting coursework accepted.
• Experience with accounts payable/receivable preferred.

Responsibilities

• Balances, adjusts, and maintains accounts and financial records per policy.
• Performs accounts payable/receivable duties for bookstore and ASB and monitors purchase orders.
• Reconciles cash and voucher transactions and prepares district deposits/transfers.
• Responds to staff, vendor, and financial institutions with policy questions.
• Maintains accurate accounting records and compliance with Education Codes.
