Job summary

Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community is seeking a part-time dining helper to serve meals to residents and support plate preparation in the dining room.

You will help maintain sanitary dining and kitchen areas and ensure high-quality service for residents, staff, and guests, with a flexible schedule including some weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of special diets and serving puree foods for special needs.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Good time management to complete duties promptly.
• Able to perform simple calculations.
• Regular attendance required and fluent English reading/writing speaking.

Responsibilities

Part time 4pm to 8pm Mondays and Fridays and E/O Weekend, E/O holiday

Responsible for serving of meals to the residents in the dining room; assisting residents as needed with preparation of their plates; maintaining sanitary conditions in the dining room, serving kitchen and kitchen areas. Assures quality food service for our residents, staff and guests.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of special diets and how to serve and puree food and meals in accordance with special needs.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Demonstrates good time management skills, to ensure timely and efficient completion of duties.
• Able to do simple calculations.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
