Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in TESOL, Education, Applied Linguistics, or a related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with students and stakeholders.
• Ability to teach adults and foster an inclusive learning environment.
• Knowledge of second language acquisition theory and ESOL practices.
• Proficiency with Brightspace and instructional technology.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver standards-aligned ESOL lessons for adult learners.
• Foster an inclusive classroom that encourages participation and language acquisition.
• Assess language proficiency and use data to guide instruction.
• Maintain confidential student records and submit required reports.
• Use Brightspace and approved materials to support teaching.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development.
• Provide pre- and post-assessments and substitute coverage as needed.
• Collaborate with advisors to support student retention and success.
• Engage in course evaluations to support program improvement.
