Job summary

Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Boston is seeking an ESOL teacher for the Adult Education and Workforce Development Division. This part-time role offers 28 hours per week over a 36-week academic year, with an hourly rate of $30, and a schedule that includes weekday afternoons and evenings.

Responsibilities include delivering ESOL instruction, assessing students with BEST and TABE Class-E, planning lessons, and coordinating with the Program Director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field; teaching certification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in similar adult education settings.
• Experience working with diverse adult learners and language backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Teach ESOL to adult students with varied levels and programs.
• Assess students using BEST and TABE Class-E; monitor progress.
• Participate in staff development and collaborate with program team.
• Integrate technology and digital literacy into curriculum; provide advising.
• Develop daily lesson plans and maintain student records.
