Qualifications

• 2 years direct patient care experience in an emergency setting (Required)
• Completion of an emergency, medical or nursing technician training program (Required)
• Comply with hospital/departmental policies regarding patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Identify need for, obtain and document patient vital signs accurately (T, P, R, BP, pulse oximetry, weight in kilograms).
• Recognize and report changes in vital signs or patient condition to RN/physician.
• Set up and document monitoring equipment and alarm limits.
• Assist with oxygen delivery methods and respiratory support.
• Apply and document use of patient restraints per policy.
• Perform POCT and phlebotomy/IV starts as required.
• Set up IV fluids and maintain aseptic technique.
