Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Mobile Patrol in Covington, TN. Salary is $17.00 per hour, with a fixed shift and the option to pick up additional shifts through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program.

This role involves site security, access control, and responsive incident handling in a manufacturing setting. The position is primarily a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, HS diploma, and availability for Saturday night hours; it offers part‑time

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• This is primarily a driving post.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑control practices, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouse spaces, loading docks, parking areas, entrances, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, observe visitor and contractor activity, and maintain accurate logs and reports in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
• Observe and report potential hazards, damaged equipment, unsecured doors, and policy concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
