Job summary

Allied Universal in Reno, NV is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide dependable, unarmed patrols and visitor management at a government facility. This role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• A valid driver’s license not required for unarmed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, inquiries, and critical situations calmly, following reporting and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, documenting concerns per location policy.
• Complete accurate activity reports and shift handoffs with a professional presence.
