Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time in Port Arthur, TX to provide customer service, conduct patrols, and enforce site policies. The role offers fixed anchor shifts with opportunities to pick up extra shifts through the scheduling platform, supporting income stability and experience across multiple sites.

The position requires a valid driver’s license where applicable, a TSA/TWIC credential, a background check, and drug screening consistent with laws.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver’s license required in the state.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• TWIC required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility grounds, buildings, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access and visitor activity in accordance with site requirements, verifying credentials and directing authorized personnel to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports, communicating observations and concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
