Job summary

Millersville University seeks temporary, part-time instructors to teach major courses and courses in General Education within the Department of English and World Languages. Positions may fill in for sabbaticals or leaves, with responsibilities including scholarship and service.

Teaching will occur in traditional and online formats, with up to three courses per semester and potential for summer teaching as needed. Applications reviewed on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in English, rhetoric/composition, or related discipline.
• Experience teaching the listed courses.

• Clear teaching philosophy statement.

Responsibilities

• Teach writing courses including Introduction to College Writing, Advanced Composition, Business Writing, Technical Writing, Science Writing, and Web Writing & Content Development.
• Teach courses in literature, film studies, and English Education.
• Teach in traditional and online learning environments.
• Up to three courses per semester, with potential for summer teaching.
