Job summary

Dauch Corporation is seeking an Engineering Co-op in Royal Oak, MI, to join our teams across engineering and business functions. This part-time program provides hands-on experience applying classroom knowledge to real-world automotive projects.

Responsibilities include data analysis, design support, testing, and reporting, with opportunities for cross-functional collaboration and learning. Must be enrolled in engineering, GPA 3.0+, and available 25 hours weekly year-round.

Qualifications

• Enrolled full-time in an accredited Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Materials Science, Computer Engineering, etc.)
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Graduation date of May 2028 or later
• Available to work a minimum of 25 hours each week, year-round
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Previous internship or project experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers and other professionals with ongoing projects, which may include data analysis, design support, testing, and process improvement.
• Conduct research and gather information to support project goals and decision-making.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation as required.
• Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and cross-functional collaborations.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment or software tools relevant to the assigned department.
• Contribute to problem-solving initiatives and propose innovative solutions.
• Adhere to all company safety regulations and quality standards.
