Job summary

EMCOR Government Services, Inc. in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Part-Time Engineer for ICCB duties on Saturdays and Sundays from 9pm to 5am. The role covers the safe operation and maintenance of plant systems including heat, HVAC, refrigeration, steam, and electrical utilities.

This position is covered by the CBA for Local 99. Candidates must hold a 1st Class Engineer's License and be eligible for a Top Secret/SCI clearance with Fullscope Poly.

Qualifications

• Must have a 1st Class Engineers License.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance with a Fullscope Poly.
• Experience & proven ability to safely secure hydronic and electrical systems for maintenance.
• Experience & proven ability to Braze/Solder copper pipe, thread black pipe.
• Must be skilled in the repair of electronic control equipment, boilers and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance during watch of all equipment in the plant.
• Operates and maintains systems providing heat, air-conditioning, refrigeration, steam or high temperature water or electricity.
• Observes and interprets readings on gauges and meters to ensure safe operation and meets service demands.
• Records various aspects of system operation in logs.
• Keeps engines, machinery and equipment in good working order.
• May direct and coordinate activities of other workers in performing tasks related to operating and maintaining the system.

Job Summary

EMCOR Government Services has an immediate need for a Part-time Engineer at ICCB in Bethesda, MD. The schedule is Saturday & Sunday 9pm - 5am.This position is covered by the CBA for Local 99.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance during his/her watch of all equipment in his/her plant.
• Operates and maintains one or more systems which provide the facility with such services as heat, air-conditioning, refrigeration, steam or high temperature water or electricity.
• Observing and interpreting readings on gauges, meters and charts which register various aspects of the system’s operation, adjusting controls to ensure safe and efficient operating of the system and to meet the demands for the service provided.
• Record various aspects of the system’s operation in the logs.
• Keep the engines, machinery and equipment of the system in good working order.
• May direct and coordinate activities of other workers in performing tasks directly related to operating and maintaining the system or systems.

Qualifications

• Must have a 1st Class Engineers License.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance with a Fullscope Poly
• Experience & proven ability to safely secure hydronic and electrical systems for maintenance.
• Experience & proven ability to Braze/Solder copper pie, thread black pipe. Basic carpentry skills.
• Must be skilled in the repair of electronic control equipment, workers in establishments producing electricity, steam or heated or cooled air primarily for sale; and Boiler Tenders
