Job summary

EMCOR Government Services, Inc. in Bethesda, MD, seeks a Part-time Engineer to support ICCB operations. The role requires working Saturday and Sunday nights from 9pm to 5am, under the Local 99 contract. The job focuses on operating and maintaining facility systems to ensure safe, efficient service.

Candidates must hold a 1st Class Engineers License and be able to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance with Fullscope Poly. Experience with hydronic and electrical systems is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a 1st Class Engineers License.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance with a Fullscope Poly.
• Experience in safely securing hydronic and electrical systems for maintenance.
• Experience brazing/soldering copper pipe and threading black pipe; basic carpentry skills.
• Must be skilled in the repair of electronic control equipment and boiler tenders.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain all equipment during watch for safe, efficient operation.
• Operate systems providing heat, air-conditioning, refrigeration, steam or electricity.
• Observe gauges/meters and adjust controls to meet service demands.
• Record operation logs.
• Keep engines and equipment in good working order.
• Direct and coordinate activities of other workers on site.

Job Summary

EMCOR Government Services has an immediate need for a Part-time Engineer at ICCB in Bethesda, MD. The schedule is Saturday & Sunday 9pm - 5am.This position is covered by the CBA for Local 99.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance during his/her watch of all equipment in his/her plant.
• Operates and maintains one or more systems which provide the facility with such services as heat, air-conditioning, refrigeration, steam or high temperature water or electricity.
• Observing and interpreting readings on gauges, meters and charts which register various aspects of the system’s operation, adjusting controls to ensure safe and efficient operating of the system and to meet the demands for the service provided.
• Record various aspects of the system’s operation in the logs.
• Keep the engines, machinery and equipment of the system in good working order.
• May direct and coordinate activities of other workers in performing tasks directly related to operating and maintaining the system or systems.

Qualifications

• Must have a 1st Class Engineers License.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance with a Fullscope Poly
• Experience & proven ability to safely secure hydronic and electrical systems for maintenance.
• Experience & proven ability to Braze/Solder copper pie, thread black pipe. Basic carpentry skills.
• Must be skilled in the repair of electronic control equipment, workers in establishments producing electricity, steam or heated or cooled air primarily for sale; and Boiler Tenders
