Job summary

New York Dental Affiliates (NYDA) is seeking a part-time Endodontist to join the NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health team. You will diagnose and treat endodontic conditions, supervise dental residents, and collaborate with general dentists and specialists to ensure high-quality patient care.

The position offers an annual base salary of $57,750 with a potential bonus up to $10,500 and benefits. NYC Health + Hospitals emphasizes equity, humane care, and a commitment to community health.

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS degree.
• Active New York State Dental License.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible through the American Board of Endodontics.

Responsibilities

• Examine and diagnose oro-dental pain and infection using imaging and evaluation techniques.
• Remove diseased or dead pulp tissue from inside the root canals, clean and disinfect the space, and seal the tooth.
• Perform specialized surgeries such as apicoectomies, root canal retreatments, and complex dental trauma.
• Collaborate with general dentists and other dental specialists to coordinate patient care.
• Supervise, evaluate, and provide constructive feedback of dental residents.
• Conduct didactic instruction including lectures and case presentations.
• Assess resident performance and contribute to formal periodic evaluations.
• Ensure OSHA, HIPAA, Joint Commission, and CODA regulation and standards are met.
