Job summary

New York Dental Affiliates (NYDA) in partnership with NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health seeks a part-time Endodontist to support patient care and supervise dental residents. The role involves diagnosing endodontic disease and performing root canal treatments with surgeries as required.

Board certification or eligibility is required; a DMD or DDS is essential. The position offers a base salary of $57,750 with potential bonuses and comprehensive benefits in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS degree.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible through the American Board of Endodontics.

Responsibilities

• Examine and diagnose oro-dental pain and infection using imaging and evaluation techniques.
• Remove diseased or dead pulp tissue from inside the root canals, clean and disinfect the space, and seal the tooth.
• Perform specialized surgeries such as apicoectomies, root canal retreatments, and complex dental trauma.
• Collaborate with general dentists and other dental specialists to coordinate patient care.
• Supervise, evaluate, and provide constructive feedback of dental residents.
• Conduct didactic instruction including lectures and case presentations.
• Assess resident performance and contribute to formal periodic evaluations.
• Ensure OSHA, HIPAA, Joint Commission, and CODA regulation and standards are met.
