Job summary

VEG ER for Pets is seeking a part-time Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join a fast-paced team on the front lines of veterinary emergency care. You will handle triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, delivering gold-standard care with emotional intelligence for pets and their families.

You should hold an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology degree and be credentialed in the state.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA accredited program preferred.
• Credentialed as a veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state the VEG practice is located; VTS in ECC/internal medicine/anesthesia a plus.
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and EMR familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from triage to discharge.
• Assist with anesthesia, monitoring, diagnostics, and critical care nursing.
• Handle labs, imaging, sample collection, and IVs/CRIs; manage equipment.
• Communicate effectively with team and pet parents; contribute to care plans.
