Job summary

Whitmore Lake Public Schools in Whitmore Lake, MI seeks an EL Teacher to serve K-12 students across three campuses. You will deliver direct English language instruction, create lesson plans, and collaborate with general education teachers to support EL learners.

You will also assist in proctoring WIDA screeners and ACCESS assessments, and participate in planning accommodations and interventions to boost reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.

Qualifications

• Endorsement in ESL (NS) or Bilingual Education (YA/YT).
• State-approved ESL endorsement program (NS or Y_).
• Master’s degree in TESOL or ESL/Bilingual Education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct English Language instruction to all EL students K-12.
• Create lesson plans and resources for Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support EL learners and accommodations.
• Assist in proctoring WIDA screeners and ACCESS assessments.
