Job summary

The Gooden School in Sierra Madre, CA seeks a Part-Time Lower School Math Specialist to support our elementary mathematics program with targeted small-group instruction and 4th Grade Accelerated Math, 8:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m., start immediately.

You will collaborate with classroom teachers and administrators to meet diverse learner needs, foster mathematical fluency and confidence, and contribute to the school community under the leadership of the Assistant Head and Head of School.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching elementary mathematics with differentiation.
• Ability to plan and deliver small-group math instruction.
• Collaborative work with teachers and administrators.

Responsibilities

• Provide small-group math instruction for lower school students.
• Teach 4th Grade Accelerated Math with planning and assessment.
• Observe progress and communicate with families as appropriate.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to identify students needing support.
• Maintain a positive learning environment and high expectations.
