Job summary

Study Smart Tutors in Hanover, Maryland seeks a Part-Time Elementary ELA Tutor who is a certified teacher to support students in person. Schedule includes Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM EST, with 1-on-1 and group tutoring and collaboration with the Education team.

The role requires a completed 4-year degree, teaching or tutoring experience, and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Must hold a completed 4-year degree.
• Teaching or tutoring experience is strongly desired.
• Teaching Certification is required.
• In-person availability is required.
• Scheduled hours: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM EST.
• Complete and pass a background check, may include fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring support to small and large groups of students.
• Tutors will have access to class assignments information.
• Adapt to new materials and teaching strategies.
• Maintain consistent communication with Study Smart staff.
• Partner with Study Smart Education team to provide comprehensive learning strategies.
