South Washington County Schools is seeking a Crossing Guard Paraprofessional at Bailey Elementary School to provide a safe traveling environment for students walking to and from school.

This part-time role (0.25 hour per day, 9:00–9:15 a.m.) starts ASAP with a starting base pay of $21.93 per hour, plus potential raise to $22.43 with Highly Qualified status; benefits are offered and the position follows the school calendar.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Competencies per State/Minnesota/Federal and District 833.
• Proven teamwork, confidentiality, and communication skills.
• Neat appearance and proper grammar; positive learning environment.
• Participate in district-sponsored training.
• Ability to use email, Internet, and Microsoft Word.
• Lift up to 10 pounds; reliable attendance.
• Positive communication with students, parents, staff.
• Respect and equity for all students.
• Knowledge of elementary student behavior.

Responsabilidades

• Directly supervise the safe crossing of students at designated crosswalks.
• Assist the principal in appointing student school safety patrols.
• Maintain an accurate list of the school safety patrols and share with manager.
• Monitor and correct patrol and student behavior; report issues promptly.
• Attend all adult crossing guard meetings as required.
• Perform fall and spring evaluations of patrols.
• Organize and chaperone events for patrols.
• Maintain and update school safety patrol equipment.
• Meet quarterly with the school safety patrols.
• Maintain boundaries, confidentiality with students, families, and staff.
• Ensure fairness, respect, and equity for all students.
• Other duties as assigned.
