Job summary

Connexus Energy in Ramsey, MN is seeking Electrical Safety Instructors to demonstrate safe practices near power lines to community members, students, construction staff and emergency personnel. The role is a limited part-time position with seasonal hours and potential weekend work.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in utilities or safety, strong speaking skills, and knowledge of electrical safety. Training, materials, and support are provided to deliver impactful safety demonstrations.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in utilities, construction and/or safety.
• Comfortable speaking/presenting to groups (2nd grade up to senior citizens).
• Knowledge of electrical safety principles and practices.
• Ability to perform light maintenance on trainer with use of simple tools.
• Valid Driver's License and health card.
• Ability to meet Physical Abilities requirements (stand, set up equipment, lift up to 50 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Present electrical safety programs to various audiences.
• Promote a strong public image for Connexus Energy.
• Promote practice of electrical safety at home and at work.
• Administer feedback surveys.
• Assist with light maintenance of equipment.
• Some simple troubleshooting due to scheduling issues.
