Job summary

Municipal Elementary in Roy, Utah is seeking a part-time Elementary Aide to support EL/MLL/ESL learners. This 5.75-hour day, 180-day position follows Lane 4(B) of the Educational Support Paraprofessionals Salary Schedule and is benefits-eligible with no health benefits.

Under the EL program team, you will assist with instruction, administer assessments, maintain student records, and communicate with families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Job related experience, preferred.
• Bilingual, preferred.
• Certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides instruction to individuals or small groups of EL students in a classroom or other learning environment.
• Plans and provides instruction and learning activities.
• Confers with teachers, families, and the administrative team concerning student needs.
• Administers WIDA screener and annual WIDA ACCESS testing.
• Builds home-school relationships and communicates with parents about student progress.
• Assists teachers to develop and evaluate educational goals and objectives.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
