This position is funded, in full or in part, through grant allocations or student enrollment-based funding sources. Additionally, the location of this position may change and includes elementary, junior high, or high schools depending on need from year-to-year, if funding continues.
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Student Educational Access & Opportunity Department, the school Principal, EL Support teacher, and District EL Support Team, the English Learner (EL) Program Paraprofessional, will support the implementation of the District English Learner Master Plan by helping to maintain student records; administering annual assessments; communicating with families and monitoring student progress; providing student language instruction and support; and facilitating communication between families of English Learners.
