Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time EKG technician in Illinois. The role is 0.6 FTE (24 hours per week) with varying PM/NOC shifts, including a 1500-2330 and 2300-0730 window. Pay range is $20.80–$31.20 per hour, and benefits are eligible.

The incumbent will perform routine and STAT ECGs, ensure correct patient identification, enter data, apply Holter monitors, and assist in patient preparation and privacy. Shift changeovers and documentation support are required.

Qualifications

• HS Grad, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years hospital-related experience or CNA/EMT preferred.
• Recognizes needs and behaviors across age groups.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and STAT ECG procedures.
• Identify patient and obtain history; respond to STAT requests.
• Enter/edit data in ECG machine and transmit to mainframe.
• Perform Holter monitor applications/removals.
• Prepare patient and ensure privacy; be empathetic and careful.
• Troubleshoot ECG issues and assist with patient comfort.
