Job summary

Right At School is hiring an Educator for the 2026-2027 school year in Des Plaines. This part-time after-school program runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

The role focuses on organized activities, curriculum alignment with program goals, and creating a safe, engaging environment for children. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience with children under 13, can lift 25 lbs, and is passionate about inspiring a love of learning and healthy

Qualifications

• 1 year of verifiable experience working with children under 13 in a childcare setting
• Ability to lift 25 lbs

Responsibilities

• Review daily goals and progress in program meetings
• Prepare and lead activities and curriculum aligned with program objectives
• Model positive guidance and safe, nurturing behavior for children
• Monitor safety and document attendance and incidents
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff and school personnel
