Job summary

Right At School is hiring a Part-Time Educator for the 2026-2027 school year. The position involves working from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, providing after-school programs focused on learning and enrichment for children. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be able to work in a team, and hold a High School diploma/GED.

• Monitor environment for hazards and document attendance and incidents.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Right At School provides local school districts with before‑and‑after school extended day programs that focus on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by building a team of mission‑driven individuals passionate about fostering a love of learning and creating safe, engaging experiences for children.

Part‑Time After‑School Position Details

Educator Pay Rate: $15-18/hour (based on education and experience)

Program Hours: Monday‑Friday, 3:00pm‑6:00pm

Candidates must be available to work all five days. Partial shifts are not accommodated.

Location: Candidates should be open to working at any of the schools partnered with in the Indian Prairie School District (Aurora, Naperville, and Bolingbrook). School assignments are based on program needs.

Requirements

• Ability to meet state‑specific requirements
• First Aid and CPR in‑person
• Cleared tuberculosis test
• 18+ years of age
• Proof of High School diploma/GED required

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and ensure team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum that align with program goals and are educational and enjoyable for all ages.
• Leading by Example: Maintain a safe, nurturing environment and model positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Prioritize Safety and Joy: Monitor the environment, address hazards, and follow all safety protocols. Document attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Communication: Effectively communicate with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
