Job summary

Right At School is hiring a part-time Educator in Farmington, IL for the 2026-2027 school year. Position hours are 2:45 pm–6:00 pm, Monday–Friday, with pay between $15.00 and $17.00 per hour based on education and experience.

Responsibilities include organizing daily activities, leading engaging programs, and ensuring safety and development for children aged school age. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, be at least 18 years old, and complete required certifications (First Aid/

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• First Aid and CPR in-person (if required) or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
• Cleared tuberculosis test (if required) or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
• Proof of MMR (if required) can documentation can be provided.
• 18+ years of age.

• Daily Program Meetings: review goals, updates, ideas, and progress with the team.
• Organize and facilitate daily activities and curriculum that align with objectives and include daily fitness and enrichment.
• Lead by example with a safe, nurturing environment and positive guidance.
• Prioritize safety and joy: monitor environment and follow safety protocols; document attendance and incidents.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff and school personnel.

Part-Time Before and After-School Staff We Call Our Educators:

$15.00-$17.00 per hour (based on education & experience)

• Location: Farmington, IL
• Required: High School Diploma/GED, must be at least 18 years old
• Program Hours: Monday - Friday, 2:45 pm-6:00 pm

• Daily Program Meetings: Each day, review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring they align with the program’s objectives. Organize and lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum; that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
• Leading by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children are enjoying themselves while also meeting program goals. You will achieve this by modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Prioritize Safety and Joy: Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols. These may include documenting attendance, incidents, and other observations.
• Communication: Effective communication with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• Ability to meet state-specific requirements;
