Job summary

Right At School is seeking an Educator to support after-school programs at Brook Park Elementary School in Brookfield, IL. The role focuses on creating engaging, curriculum-aligned activities for students and maintaining a safe, nurturing environment after school hours.

The candidate should meet state requirements, obtain First Aid/CPR and TB clearance within 30 days, be 18+, and hold a high school diploma or GED. Schedule runs Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM–6:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Meet state-specific requirements.
• First Aid and CPR in person (obtain within 30 days of employment).
• Clear tuberculosis test (obtain within 30 days of employment).
• 18+ years of age.
• Proof of high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and promote team accountability.
• Organize and facilitate daily activities: prepare curriculum and activities that align with program objectives and are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
• Lead by example: maintain a safe and nurturing environment, model positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Prioritize safety and joy: monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols; document attendance, incidents, and other observations.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Position Details

• Location: Brook Park Elementary School – Brookfield, IL
• Pay Rate: $16–$19 per hour (based on education and experience)
• Program Hours: Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM–6:00 PM; must be able to work this schedule.
