Right At School is seeking an Educator for Brook Park Elementary School in Brookfield, IL. The role supports before/after school programs, delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment.

Pay rate ranges from $16 to $19 per hour, depending on education and experience. Schedule runs Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM–6:00 PM, with state requirements and First Aid/CPR prerequisites to obtain within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Must meet state-specific requirements.
• First Aid and CPR in-person (within 30 days of employment).
• Cleared tuberculosis test (within 30 days of employment).
• 18+ years of age.
• Proof of High School diploma/GED required.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: review goals and updates, share progress, and encourage teamwork.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: prepare age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
• Leading by Example: maintain a safe, nurturing environment and positive guidance.
• Prioritize Safety and Joy: monitor environment, address hazards, document observations.
• Communication: interact effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Position Details

• Location: Brook Park Elementary School - Brookfield, IL
• Educator Pay Rate: $16-19/hour (based on education and experience) Program Hours: Monday-Friday: 2:30 PM-6:00 PM- Must be able to work Monday through Friday at the schedule listed.

• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring they align with the program’s objectives. Organize and lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum; that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
• Leading by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children are enjoying themselves while also meeting program goals. You will achieve this by modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Prioritize Safety and Joy: Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols. These may include documenting attendance, incidents, and other observations.
• Communication: Effective communication with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
