The Charlotte Chess Center in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Educator Development Specialist for a part-time role to strengthen the instructional skills of our school-enrichment coaches. You will translate classroom strategies into practical training, observations, and feedback to help coaches manage diverse students and deliver engaging lessons.

Ideal candidates bring at least 5 years of full-time classroom teaching or instructional coaching, strong communication, and a collaborative

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of full-time classroom teaching or instructional coaching.
Experience teaching and managing groups of children in a structured learning environment.
Strong classroom-management principles and student behavior understanding.
Ability to train and coach adults in a practical, approachable manner.

Responsibilities

Provide practical instruction on classroom management, instructional excellence, and establishing clear expectations, routines, procedures, and boundaries.
Observe CCC coaches in school enrichment programs and provide feedback; identify opportunities for individual coach development.
Develop practical training curriculum and coaching resources; create tools, checklists, scripts for classrooms.
Collaborate with CCC leadership to align training with school-partner relationships and program goals.
