Job summary

Eugene School District 4J is seeking a part-time Instructional Assistant for the 2026/27 school year. This 0.75 FTE role spans 6 hours per day on the CL-192 schedule, Monday through Friday, supporting teachers and students with educational and behavioral needs.

The position requires documentation of Highly Qualified status per ORS 581-037-0005, the ability to assist in instructional planning, and strong clerical skills, with bilingual ability preferred.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate Highly Qualified status per ORS 581-037-0005
• Provide documentation showing required post-secondary credits or degree
• Experience in instructional techniques and behavior management
• Clerical skills and ability to type
• Bilingual proficiency preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist in lesson preparation and directly instruct students
• Monitor and record student progress and grades
• Prepare classroom materials and update bulletin boards
• Supervise students and maintain orderly environment
• Orient substitute teachers and arrange conferences
• May budget expenditures and inventory supplies
• Ensure student safety and assist with transportation
