Position Details

Employment Type:Part-Time, Educational Assistant

Hours: Up to 17 hours per week

Position Summary

The College is seeking part-time employees who are passionate about supporting the success of students enrolled at CT State CC. Part-time staff provide direct support to students, academic programs, and College offices, assisting with coursework, services, or daily operations that strengthen student learning, engagement, and access to College resources. Employees collaborate with faculty and staff across departments to promote student success in a structured and supportive environment.

Positions may be located in a variety of academic or administrative areas across the College, such as tutoring centers, labs, the library, Financial Aid, the Registrar's Office, or other student support offices, and may involve working directly with students one-on-one or in small groups, assisting with office and administrative functions, or supporting the setup, maintenance, and operation of a specific unit or center. Specific duties and required qualifications vary by position and will be outlined at the time of application or interview.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Providing direct support to students, faculty or staff, in an academic or administrative setting.
Minimum Qualifications

An Associate, Bachelor's, or Master's degree, as specified in the job description, in the assigned field or a closely related field, with one (1) or more years of related experience in the assigned area; or an equivalent combination of experience and training which would lead to the competencies required to carry out the position's essential duties.

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
