Job summary

Child Development Centers Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Educational Aide II for the Downtown Erie location. The role supports the Lead Teacher in delivering care and education for children, with afternoon hours 2:30pm to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday.

The position emphasizes engaging literacy activities and positive, intentional play in a supportive classroom. Requirements include a high school diploma and 2,500 child hours; CDA may or may not be held.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 2,500 child hours experience preferred.
• May or may not have CDA.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teacher in implementing the CDC curriculum, e.g., Creative Curriculum.
• Engage children with high-quality verbal interactions throughout the day.
• Collaborate with classroom staff to maintain consistent interactions and routines.
• Support literacy initiatives and emergent reading/writing activities.
• Ensure classroom safety, cleanliness, and adherence to policies.
