Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education preferred.
• Minimum 60 college credits or an associate degree or ParaPro pass.
• Experience with students in education or childcare is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers and parents.
• Pass background check and meet district requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with classroom management and instructional activities.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, including those with special needs.
• Help prepare instructional materials for lessons.
• Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback and support as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers to implement IEPs and accommodations.
• Assist with administrative tasks and maintain student records.
• Foster a positive and respectful classroom environment that encourages student engagement.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
