The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in education or related field, has at least 3 years of K-12 teaching experience, and possesses Texas teaching certification. The role offers day, evening, and weekend classes with up to five classes per academic year.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in education or related field and at least 3 years of recent, documented experience in K-12 classroom teaching.
• Active Texas Teacher Certification.

Responsibilities

• Teaches courses in the ATCP program as designated by the Director; includes Pedagogy, Generalist Teacher Preparation, Special Education, and Creating Successful Classrooms.
• Submits required college reports and forms.
• Utilizes a course syllabus for each course, following institutional guidelines.
• Provides timely access to students by appointment, electronic communication, and other methods.
• Continuously improves instructional quality using innovative methodologies and online learning.
• Evaluates students by various means and informs them of progress.
• Attends in-service meetings and trainings with ISD partners.
• Maintains professional relationships with students, colleagues, ISD partners and the community.
• Performs other reasonable, related duties as assigned.
