Job summary

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is seeking an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) for a part-time shift (24 hours weekly) in the Emergency Department. The role includes lab draws, EKGs, and assisting nurses and doctors with patient care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and EMT-B certification (or equivalent clinical training). Prior Sentara ED tech experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clinical experience less than 1 year.
• EMT-B certification at hire OR completion of US Military Hospital Corps School, MMAC candidates, or enrolled in advanced clinical program.

Responsibilities

• Perform lab draws and EKGs.
• Assist nurses and physicians with patient care.
• Support teamwork to ensure high-quality patient care.
