Job summary

CAP Tulsa is seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant to support the Lead Teacher in a Head Start program in Tulsa, OK. The role runs parallel to school hours (1:30 pm–5:30 pm) and involves assisting with lesson plans, classroom operations, and parent communication.

The position requires a HS Diploma or GED. CDA or paraprofessional certification is preferred, with experience in infant/toddler/preschool settings and bilingual abilities considered a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teacher in planning and delivering activities.
• Support classroom operations and extended care program.
• Assist with lesson planning and home visits as needed.
• Maintain positive parent/teacher relationships and document activities.
• CompleteLead Teacher duties in their absence.
