CAP Tulsa is seeking a Lead Teacher to manage total classroom operation under Head Start standards. You will supervise Teacher II, plan daily activities, and ensure compliance with program requirements and family engagement initiatives.

The role requires Oklahoma EC teaching credentials or a bachelor’s in EC with additional credits and infant/toddler training within the first year. Collaboration with families and staff is essential in this environment.

Formación

• State of Oklahoma Teaching Certificate in Early Childhood for 4-year-old classrooms.
• State of Oklahoma Teaching Certificate in Early Childhood for 3-year-old classrooms.
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.
• Bachelor's degree in any subject with 36 EC credits as defined by NAEYC.
• Infant and toddler development training within 1 year of hire.
• PITC four-module infant/toddler training required within first year.
• NAEYC-equivalent coursework in early childhood subjects.
• Experience with infant, toddler, or preschool children.

Responsabilidades

• Comply with Head Start standards and program assessment.
• Administer Ages and Stages Questionnaires for screening.
• Use curriculum software to track developmental progress.
• Apply CAP classroom support model for management.
• Collaborate with families, volunteers, and partners.
• Conduct home visits and parent conferences.
• Develop daily schedules and weekly lesson plans.
• Maintain documentation: Monthly Reports, Attendance, Meal Counts, etc.
• Meet Head Start, NAEYC, and DHS licensing requirements.
• Understand and implement the agency curriculum.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
