Salary range $15.03–$16.39 per hour. Requires AA in Early Childhood Education or Child Development (or equivalent) and CPR/First Aid certification, with CDA credential preferred. Responsibilities include communicating with families and staff, implementing High Scope and Conscious Discipline, and providing support across provider sites.

Qualifications

• AA in Early Childhood Education or Child Development or equivalent.
• CDA credential preferred or willing to obtain a CDA.
• Ability to use computers, software and other current technology.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
• Must maintain professional demeanor in classroom settings as a representative.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with parents, families and program staff in written and oral form.
• Maintain professional atmosphere in classroom or family child care home.
• Engage in activities with children at their physical level.
• Create a supportive, nurturing, strength-based atmosphere.
• Implement High Scope Curriculum and Conscious Discipline during visits.
• Provide care for evening meetings as required.
• Support all child care provider sites and provide lunch coverage as needed.
• Sub in classroom as needed.
• Provide resources for families and children on request.
• Maintain developmentally appropriate practice and records.
• Involve families in community activities as appropriate.
