Job summary

Southeast Family Project in Hampton, VA is seeking a Part-Time Direct Care Associate II for weekend shifts to support women and their infants in a residential treatment program. The role focuses on safety, recovery support, and infant care within a structured setting.

You will work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with $20.44 hourly pay and a $2.50 shift differential for evenings, overnights, and weekends.

Qualifications

  • One year of direct care experience with adults or families with substance use or mental health needs (CNA a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision and support in a residential treatment setting.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, household routines, and infant care as needed.
  • Encourage participation in recovery programming, life skills development, and therapeutic activities.
  • Observe and document client progress, behaviors, and safety concerns.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records.
  • Help create a positive, recovery-focused environment that promotes safety, wellness, and independence.
  • Collaborate with the Program Manager and treatment team to support client success.

Join the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board (H-NNCSB) as a Part-Time Direct Care Associate II with the Southeast Family Project (SEFP). This rewarding position supports women and their infants in a residential treatment program for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.

Working every other weekend, you'll help create a safe, structured, and supportive environment where individuals can focus on recovery, parenting, and building a healthier future.

Minimum Qualifications
  • One year of direct care experience working with adults and/or families with substance abuse and/or mental health needs, CNA a plus.

About the Southeast Family Project

The Southeast Family Project is a licensed residential treatment program serving women experiencing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. The program provides ASAM Level 3.5 and 3.1 residential services for non-pregnant women, pregnant women, postpartum women, and their infants.
