The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community.

The Oak Road West house is an all-female home with seven residents and caring staff; the role offers opportunities to engage in activities and help residents lead fulfilling lives in a family-like environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus.
• Must have an acceptable NYS driver's license and basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and skills training to residents in a residential setting and within the community.
• Help residents reach their fullest potentials through meaningful relationships and activities.
